Philip K Dick
1928 - 1982
I first discovered Philip k Dick in high school.
He wrote a lot of highly imaginative books that were good reads.
They were science fiction, which I loved, mostly on the future, but I recall some alternate futures to.
Philip was from the bay area so many of the story’s were about the region. I remember Berkley and Marin county.
As I recall he had two kinds of stories, drug user confuses reality with his hallucinations, and all the other ones.
I didn’t care for his druggie books but all the rest were great. I suppose the first few druggie books were ok, but it was a theme I didn’t care for.
I’ve started rebuying his books on kindle and figure I will reread them shortly.
There are quite a few movies based on the wiring of Philip k Dick.
