It’s time for a break at the convention. I’m heading out for lunch. I bump into Steve Clemmer. I suggest he join me. He agrees. There are all these snacking places… The shawarma wrap. Hotdog joint, ice cream palace, but the have long lines just to get in. Actually they are more like carnival stands… Pickup your food and leave.. no place to sit. You have to fight over a few scattered park benches.
Steve suggests we go to Denny’s - it shouldn’t be crowded. But it is, but Steve walks over to one of the attendants on the side and asks for a fried chicken breast and a side of fries, and that he wants to eat in the backroom… Less crowded.
So we are being escorted to the back, it’s a big restaurant with an Ikea like floor plan.. but off course there are shortcuts … And I’m starting to fall behind. There’s one of those panels they open then close.. then I open.. hmm it’s two part. I open go through and close. The room is dark, space for more tables but they are stacked to the side. Steve is exiting the room in the other side.
What illuminates the room is a giant Christmas tree full of lights. Cool. So I think I’ll catch up. But then apparently there a dozens and dozens of cords in the pathway. I have been caught… Like a spider in a web. It’s easy to untangle but I have about 6-10 more feet of these cables to untangle my way through.

A picture of Denny's restaurant in Nevada with a line of people waiting to get in. .
In a dark room. There is light coming from an open door on the far side. The light is somehow illuminating some tables in the room, and there are many cables on the floor. Photo
