Welcome to the inventors fair! Actually it is being held in an old Victorian building. The interior walls have mahogany wall paneling. Straight ahead there’s a giant room. there was a dude carrying a … Pool noodle over his head. Actually it was 8-9 feet long. 2 inches diameter. Looked bent. I think this was grown. I think there were some sort of vacuum experiments. Boring.
Off to the left in that same room is an acrylic tank filled with water. There’s a 2-inch cutout at the bottom that has been plugged. I think they are going to attach a hose with spinning water to the cutout and see how far that spinning water will go through the normal water. Hmm it should have another hole on the opposite side. Cool but the person doing that is not in today.
There’s a room on the left. In that room, there’s a Jeron looking dude in front of 2 small monitors. I take a seat on the bench in the back, I have a good view. From what I gather he is attempting to make some sort of TV or radio transmitter and receiver. I think both monitors are of the black and green variety.. on the first monitor is some writing - ones and 0s, squares and shapes. Ok maybe not lettering but ansii art. The other monitor mostly pixel spots that are not moving.
I think It’s not working. It could be transmitter design or implementation. Receiver transmitter design or implementation. The current thought is there’s a crystal that is sending has to be exactly the same as the receiver. The thought is there is a problem with the crystals. Another interesting aspect of this experiment is that it is using sidebands. The inventor leaves on a break or something.
I understand the concepts but I don’t understand or remember electronics enough to do it myself. What I think is this inventor doesn’t quite know what he’s doing either. I get up to leave, I get closer to the equipment there’s a touch panel. I tap it a few times the receiver blips. Hmm, so it’s working, it’s either sending bad data, or the receiver isn’t translating the receiver data properly.
