Vacation to the ocean.
So Rhonda and I are going to the ocean.
We’re going to stay at a hostel. Each room is 10 dollars a night, 2 to a room.
The hotel is next to the ocean. Actually it’s like a 3 or 4 story large Victorian house.
Actually we got 2 rooms on the second floor. When you go up two the second floor there are two hallways running on parallel pretty close together. Phew … Must be pretty small rooms. Maybe 20 rooms to a floor… The owner has a good haul.
The house is on the ocean, in fact parking is in the sand. Is it safe? The hotel is, but it’s easy to break into the cars.
Actually the hostel has kind of a bad reputation. They just threw out those kids the other day. That’s just the kind of thing they do here.
I brought my keyboard, but not my amplifier. That’s ok I’m sure someone else has one I can use. My car is missing! No problem I’ll get my keyboard later.
It’s time to check in. At the entrance someone is seeing up a huge telescope. I get to the lobby. The owner is an old lady. She gives us the rules. $10 dollars a day. 2 to a room. 10 days max. (Great, I was thinking rooms these days go for about $150 a night. We are saving a bundle) If we have no money she’ll let us stay for free.
I’m having a conversation with the owner
“Wow that’s nice. I bet a lot of people take advantage”
“no…. There were about a dozen kids - each took a room, wouldn’t pay, caused more than one fire, but I kicked then out after a month.”

A 2 or 3 story victorian house next to the ocean practically in the beach.. There are a few palm trees surrounding the house. The driveway is unpaved sand. There are a few old cars parked on front of the house (a red Ford mustang, and a 60's vintage dune buggy)
