I was showing Rhonda my banboard. It turns out she has something even more entertaining! It’s about the size of one of those giant aluminum cookie sheets you see at Costco but with 4 tiny little 1 inch wheels. The back has a compartment with batteries. About 3 inches high 2 inches wide running all the way across the back. You sit on it and it knows to go. Leaning a certain way causes it to turn.
With my hoverboard and her cart we could go places! Very slowly. Mine is about a third the speed of someone walking, Rhonda’s a little faster. It could be fun.
It was obvious that it was a bad idea to go out together. Different speeds and it would look odd.
I think I’ll make a cart for two people. I’ll use 2 of those Costco trays. They will sit on 2 2x6s maybe 8 feet long, maybe 8 inches apart. It will be kind of narrow so we shouldn’t lean too far over to either side. We’ll get wheel barrel tires from ace hardware. Those we’ll mount on more 2x4s running diagonally. The front board will swivel using our feet. We’ll get An electric motor from O’Reilly’s. It and the batteries will be placed between the 2x6s.
You know… That will be cool. It should go quite a bit faster than walking. We can control the distance by adding more batteries in parallel. We can also also upgraded a bit at a time.

Draw a banboard. It's like a skateboard about 2 feet long, 8 inches wide. No wheels. It blows a tiny bit of air so that it hovers. Draw an adult sitting on it, riding down the street past on old touristy part of the small town Photo
