The graduation
So I finally went to the graduation. My gown shrank to the size of a jacket. The cap was pretty small as well.
There was a reception going on for the graduates. Punch. .. lots and lots of punch.
The cooking was weird… The chef was doing things with bread.
First was like cotton candy but with bread dough. It looked like cotton candy but was a dull white and yuck…. Sniffing or Breathing it in was like breathing in flour dust. I coughed.
I decided to go to the graduation, I stepped out there and they immediately called my name. Got on the stage, shook some hands, got a piece of paper and it was over.
There was an audience but the students weren’t seated or lined up like the Californian graduations, they just went back to the reception.
So I’m back at the reception, and now they are serving another one of those weird bread plates. This one looked like a sponge, and it is sitting under water. They give me an empty plate, then someone scooped out a piece. It came out as a 3” rectangle on the plate with a lot of liquid. It had a nice cool pattern. Somewhat crystalline and 3 dimensional. Yuck - it cut and taste like raw dough. The liquid was salty water.
